CanadianSME, Enabled Talent Launch Disability Inclusion Platform

CanadianSME and Enabled Talent have launched Enable Accessibility Canada Inc., a national platform built around a podcast, a magazine, and an awards program that will spotlight disability leadership and accessibility innovation, the two companies said in a joint statement.

Roughly 8 million Canadians aged 15 and older – 27% of that group – report having one or more disabilities, according to Statistics Canada's 2022 Canadian Survey on Disability. Enable Accessibility Canada aims to support the country's accessibility priorities by raising awareness, sharing lived experiences, and celebrating measurable progress, the companies said.

The Enable Accessibility Podcast will feature conversations with entrepreneurs, researchers, policymakers, athletes, artists, and community leaders. Episodes will include captions, transcripts, and accessible digital formats; sign-language interpretation will be provided where available. The magazine will profile the people and organizations driving inclusive innovation, covering accessible employment, assistive technology, artificial intelligence, and public policy.
