Blue Star Helium started helium sales from its Galactica plant in July and plans 9 more wells through 2027 to reach full capacity, with CO2 revenue to follow.
Blue Star Helium has become the newest U.S. helium producer, starting output and sales from its Galactica plant in Las Animas County, Colorado, in July. The company now plans to drill three more wells this year and six in 2027 to push the plant to full capacity, CEO said on a corporate webcast Monday.
The Galactica plant produces high-grade helium and carbon dioxide from the company's assets. Blue Star has an offtake agreement for the helium, which it described as operating in "an amazing helium market globally." The CO2 stream is still in development; the company plans to add liquefaction infrastructure to sell that secondary product.
A second discovery at Pegasus has already been made and awaits appraisal and development drilling. The company framed its strategy as "produce, sell and repeat," with the first plant serving as proof of concept and the next three as the scaling point.
Blue Star Helium trades on the ASX and OTC under BSNLF. The presentation included a detailed appendix with further operational and financial data.
