Binance Still Onboarding EU Clients After MiCA, Report Says

Binance is still allowing European users to open accounts on its platform, even after the Markets in Crypto Assets framework took effect on July 1, according to a report from crypto analysis platform Sandmark.
Sandmark said its staff opened and verified accounts from Austria, France, Germany, Spain and Belgium on August 19. Some tests used VPNs, some did not. Two accounts passed full KYC checks. None of the tests triggered a warning about Binance lacking a MiCA license. Once verified, the accounts could receive deposits and use other crypto services, the report said.
Binance withdrew its application for a MiCA license from Greek regulators. The exchange later sent notices telling customers their funds were safe and that transfers and withdrawals remained available depending on location and account status.
