Binance's Agent OS platform lets developers plug AI agents directly into trading engines, market data, wallets, and payments. Users set permissions per app and can revoke access instantly.
Binance has launched Agent OS, a developer platform that hooks artificial intelligence applications directly into the exchange's trading engines, market data, wallets, and payment systems. The release expands Binance Intelligence, the company's push into automated financial tools.
The platform gives developers a single set of connection points for building agents that can place orders, check balances, pull trade histories, and move funds. Instead of wiring each application separately to Binance's various APIs, Agent OS bundles them under one framework. Supported applications include ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor.
Binance said account holders keep full control over what each agent can do. Permissions can be set per application – market data only, balance access, specific trade types – and revoked at any time. Users can also assign agents to isolated subaccounts, keeping automated trading capital separate from the main account.
The system integrates the Model Context Protocol, an open standard that lets compatible apps talk to external tools and data sources. MCP means developers write one integration instead of one for each Binance product. Binance's own APIs, the Wallet Agentic Hub, x402 programmable payments, and the Skill Hub all sit under the same roof.
Binance said the baseline MCP setup does not expose sensitive non-trading data like email or identity documents. The exchange continues to monitor every order and applies its compliance rules to all trades processed through Agent OS.
The timing fits a broader shift. Algorithmic traders and fintech firms are leaning harder on automated systems to scan data and execute strategies. Standardised access cuts the friction of wiring those systems into an exchange. Binance stressed that third-party applications own their own data collection, computation, and decision logic. The exchange sees only the activity that passes through its infrastructure – orders placed, balances queried.
Binance runs one of the largest crypto exchanges by volume. It has expanded beyond spot trading into derivatives, wallets, payments, institutional services, and blockchain infrastructure. Agent OS adds a developer layer across those product lines.
A spokesperson said the platform is live now.
