Bayer AG bought an 11.9% stake in Bayer CropScience Ltd for ₹2,207 crore through a block deal on Wednesday, lifting its holding to 20.34% from 8.43%. The shares were purchased at ₹4,122.30 apiece, according to NSE data.
Bayer CropScience Aktiengesellschaft, one of the promoters, sold an equal number of shares and exited the firm. The transaction was an inter-promoter transfer and did not change the overall promoter shareholding.
The stock slipped nearly 1% to ₹4,128 on the NSE on Thursday.
Bayer CropScience posted a 13% increase in net profit to ₹162.1 crore for the quarter ended March 2026, compared with ₹143.3 crore a year earlier. Revenue for the quarter rose 5% to ₹1,100 crore. For the full financial year 2025-26, net profit grew 21% to ₹689.2 crore, with revenue at ₹5,675 crore, up from ₹5,473 crore.
