Bahri Opens Bonded Zone at Jeddah Port for Logistics Hub

National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) launched the "Bahri Bonded Zone" at Jeddah Islamic Port, the company said in a statement. The facility operates under the patronage of the Minister of Transport and Logistics Services.

The bonded zone is designed to serve as a logistics and distribution hub, handling cargo storage, consolidation, and re-export. Bahri said the zone will support supply chain operations for regional and international clients, reducing transit times and warehousing costs.

Jeddah Islamic Port is Saudi Arabia's largest Red Sea gateway, handling roughly 60% of the kingdom's seaborne imports. The new zone adds dedicated warehousing and customs-bonded storage capacity at the port, Bahri said.

Bahri, which operates one of the world's largest fleets of very large crude carriers and chemical tankers, has been expanding its logistics footprint beyond shipping. The bonded zone is the company's first such facility at Jeddah Islamic Port.
