AXIS appoints Brian Scott as senior underwriter in US healthcare reinsurance

AXIS Capital Holdings (NYSE: AXS), the global specialty insurer and reinsurer, appointed Brian Scott as Senior Underwriter in its US Healthcare Reinsurance team.

Scott comes to AXIS with nearly 20 years of experience in the healthcare sector. His previous roles include underwriting and consulting positions at RGA Reinsurance, Voya Financial, Point6 Healthcare and Lockton Companies. His background covers self-funded healthcare, plan design, cost containment and risk management.

AXIS said its approach to US Healthcare Reinsurance centers on understanding what partners seek to protect and what drives portfolio volatility. The company said Scott's experience will help clients through disciplined underwriting, data-led insights and established risk management practices.
