Avalanche Food Group donated $20,000 to the PTSD Foundation of America through Camp Hope beer sales at Twin Peaks. The franchise operator plans further fundraising to support veterans.
Avalanche Food Group, the Houston-based franchise operator of Twin Peaks restaurants, raised $20,000 for the PTSD Foundation of America through sales of its Camp Hope Beer, the company said Monday.
Owners Ricky, Joe and John Rosa presented a ceremonial check to representatives of Camp Hope, a Houston interim housing program for veterans with PTSD. The money came from a portion of each specialty beer sold at participating Twin Peaks locations owned by Avalanche Food Group.
"Supporting the men and women who have served our country is something we take seriously," said John Rosa, a partner at Avalanche Food Group. "The incredible response from our guests shows that when a community comes together around a meaningful cause, real impact can happen. This $20,000 donation represents thousands of customers who chose to raise a glass while helping veterans find hope, healing and support."
David Maulsby, executive director of the foundation's support and giving department, said the partnership "demonstrates a genuine understanding that supporting our troops requires more than words or symbols – it requires meaningful action."
The program continues at participating Avalanche Food Group-owned Twin Peaks locations. Guests can order a Camp Hope Beer year-round to support the cause. The Rosa brothers said the donation is only the beginning, with plans for further fundraising and community engagement.
Camp Hope offers peer mentoring, counseling, and recovery services for veterans and their families affected by combat-related PTSD. The PTSD Foundation of America operates the program, which provides temporary housing and a whole-person approach to healing.
