Antara Banerjee Arrested After Blade Attack on RPF Officer

Borivali GRP Inspector Kunda Gavade said witnesses reported that Banerjee appeared upset over not getting an AC ticket. She declined to contact family or seek legal counsel and insisted on being arrested, Gavade said. Banerjee, 31, began her career with Gumrah: End of Innocence and made her Bollywood debut in the 2014 film The Shaukeens. She later appeared in Badho Bahu, Laal Ishq, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Kavach 2, and Divya Drishti. Born in Kolkata, she moved to Mumbai and trained in Kathak and classical singing.

A GRP official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Banerjee was in the reserved seat and refused to move. When Mishra tried to assist, she started abusing the team, the official said. The incident caused panic among commuters, according to the complaint.
