Anson Resources Clears Environmental Hurdle for Yellow Cat Drilling

Anson Resources (ASX: ASN) has completed environmental baseline surveys across its Yellow Cat uranium-vanadium project in Utah, clearing a permitting step ahead of a planned resource-definition drill program.
The company said the surveys covered proposed drill pads, sumps, access tracks, and buffer zones in the Western and Central blocks. No environmental roadblocks were identified.
The fieldwork included botanical surveys for special-status plant species, avian and raptor habitat assessments, and hydrological mapping of ephemeral drainage paths and riparian zones. Anson plans to incorporate the results into a Notice of Intent submission before mobilising contractors for Phase 2 drilling.
The Phase 2 program aims to validate historical uranium and vanadium assays and upgrade the project’s historical resource to compliance with the 2012 JORC Code. Anson intends to twin historical holes, starting with three to five holes in an area not previously mined. Deeper targets below the water table are also planned, using existing access roads and drill pads.
