Andrew and Tristan Tate Arrested in US on UK Extradition Bid

Andrew and Tristan Tate were arrested in Miami on Saturday. The US Marshals Service took the brothers into custody on a sealed warrant issued by British authorities, spokesperson Brady McCarron said.
The Crown Prosecution Service is seeking their extradition on 38 charges. The charges include rape and human trafficking, spanning allegations from 2010 to 2017. The case was expanded beyond a 2025 filing and involves four additional alleged victims, the CPS said in a statement.
Andrew Tate faces a charge of profiting from prostitution and 19 charges related to indecent images of a child and extreme pornography. Tristan Tate faces charges of rape and human trafficking.
The brothers are expected in federal court in Miami early next week. The extradition proceedings will determine whether they face a UK trial.
The Tates moved to Romania in 2016 and were arrested there in 2022 on similar accusations. That case stalled. Romanian authorities allowed them to leave the country last year. They flew to Florida on a private jet.
