Saudi lender Alrajhi Bank posts SAR 13.8B H1 net income, up 14% YoY, as chairman cites group strategy harmonization.
Alrajhi Bank reported net income of SAR 13,764 million for the first half of 2026, a 14% jump from the same period a year earlier. The Saudi lender credited the gain to what it called the harmonization of group strategy across its business lines.
Chairman Abdullah bin Sulaiman Al Rajhi said the results reflected the strength of that strategy, adding that the bank continued to benefit from higher operating income and controlled costs. He did not provide a breakdown by segment.
The profit figure puts Alrajhi on track for another record year. The bank's return on equity and asset quality metrics have drawn attention from regional investors who see Saudi banking as a play on the kingdom's non-oil economic expansion. Alrajhi's lending and fee income have both climbed as corporate and retail demand stays firm.
A rival lender, Riyad Bank, is due to report second-quarter numbers next week. Analysts expect a similar tone, with net interest margins holding up despite the Saudi central bank holding its benchmark rate steady since late 2023.
