Alex Eala lands No. 29 seed at Wimbledon, a career first

MANILA, Philippines – Alex Eala will enter a Grand Slam as a seeded player for the first time, and it will happen at her favorite tournament. The provisional seed list places Eala at No. 29 for Wimbledon, reflecting her current WTA ranking of No. 35. She is expected to rise to No. 30 when the updated rankings post Monday.

World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka leads the seedings, followed by Elena Rybakina, Iga Świątek, Jessica Pegula, Mirra Andreeva, Amanda Anisimova, Coco Gauff, Elina Svitolina, Karolína Muchová, and Belinda Bencic.

Victoria Mboko and Hailey Baptiste are absent from the list; both are recovering from injuries.
