Complaints started in October 2024 from operation theatres, with users reporting poor suction and material quality. AIIMS ordered replacement within five days. Taarini said the stock had been replaced, including 565 units. More complaints followed through March 2025.

The tubing collapsed under negative pressure and interrupted suction flow during surgery, which could compromise visibility of the surgical field, delay critical intervention and pose a direct risk to patient safety.
