AgroGene Hive-Monitoring Startup Wins $100K at Startupfest

“We have discovered how to detect infections earlier, before symptoms appear,” co-founder and CEO Pascale Michaud said. “We pair a molecular diagnostic with a data platform to help beekeepers keep their hives alive.”

The audience favorite was LymeAlert, a Cambridge, Mass.-based startup that develops portable tests for Lyme disease in ticks. LymeAlert also won the $100,000 Women In Tech Investment Prize.

Other winners included Kiwi Charge (autonomous EV chargers), EN Solutions Hydro (AI software for hydro plants), 3D BioFibR (collagen fibers for tissue engineering), and Finleaf Technologies (fish waste fertilizer). The 16th edition of Startupfest closed July 10 after three days of networking, panels, and pitches.
