Aegon appointed Will Fuller as President and Chief Operating Officer and selected New York City for its global headquarters, the company said.
Fuller will oversee day-to-day operations and help execute the Dutch financial services group's planned relocation of its legal seat to the United States. Aegon first announced the redomicile plan last year, citing the U.S. market's growing share of its earnings and the simpler regulatory environment.
The company had been weighing locations on the East Coast. Choosing New York anchors the shift in a city where Aegon already runs its U.S. asset-management and insurance businesses through subsidiaries such as Transamerica.
The leadership changes took effect immediately, Aegon said. Fuller most recently served as executive vice president at a major U.S. life insurer. His appointment fills a role that had been vacant since the previous COO left in early 2025.
Aegon's stock traded flat on the news, in line with the broader financial sector.
