Adavale Resources' latest assays at London-Victoria return 31m at 1.29 g/t gold from 16m below the pit floor, ahead of a Mineral Resource update this quarter.
Adavale Resources has received assays from 11 reverse circulation holes drilled at the London-Victoria gold mine in New South Wales. The best intercept cut 31 metres at 1.29 grams per tonne gold from 133 metres, starting 16 metres below the existing pit floor.
Managing Director David Ward called the result strong in its own right. "ALRC070's 31-metre intercept at 1.29 grams per tonne, commencing just 16m below the pit floor, is a strong result in its own right, while the broad intervals in ALRC060 and ALRC061 demonstrate the continuity and scale of the mineralised package," he said.
The 11 holes total 2,394 metres and form the latest batch from Adavale's systematic resource drillout beneath the 1.5-kilometre-long London-Victoria open pit. Results span six drill sections covering about 700 metres of northing, adding density across the deposit's full northing extent. Most holes returned reportable gold mineralisation, Adavale said. The appearance of mineralisation across multiple sections supports the interpretation of a continuous gold system, Ward said.
Ward said the latest results reinforce what the systematic drillout has shown: gold mineralisation is consistently developed below the pit across multiple sections. The outcome does not depend on a single standout hole, he said, and repeated intersections across the whole 1.5km strike are increasing drill density and strengthening the geological interpretation ahead of a planned Mineral Resource update.
Adavale considers the broad intersection in ALRC070 particularly significant because of its shallow position directly beneath the existing pit. Adavale believes the mineralisation could be accessed early in a future pit cutback and provide an initial source of plant feed during the establishment of mining operations. The shallow depth of the intercept, at just 16 metres below the pit floor, could allow for relatively low-cost extraction if the project advances to production, Adavale indicated.
The additional drilling will be incorporated into the geological model and added to the planned Mineral Resource update this quarter. The resource update will be a significant milestone for Adavale, providing the basis for any future mining studies. Drilling remains active, with more assays to be reported after receipt and validation.
