Two US service members were killed in Jordan on Friday after American and partner forces came under Iranian missile and drone fire, the Pentagon said Saturday. Another service member is missing, and several others were injured.
The deaths are the first publicly acknowledged American military fatalities in the Middle East conflict since March, the Pentagon said. More than 425 service members have been injured since the conflict began, when the US and Israel launched surprise attacks on Iran on February 28.
