CPSC recalls 17,600 Kidisle coffee makers after 107 reports of hot liquid bursting out, causing 27 burn injuries requiring medical treatment.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission ordered a recall of roughly 17,600 Kidisle hot and iced coffee machines on Thursday. The agency cited a clogging defect that allows hot liquid or steam to build up and release unexpectedly, creating a burn hazard. At least 107 reports of such incidents have been filed, with 27 injuries ranging from first- to second-degree burns that required medical treatment. The machines were sold on Amazon, Walmart, and eBay from June 2024 through April of this year for about $49. The affected units have model number KC101B printed on a sticker underneath. Kidisle is offering full refunds; owners should stop using the coffee makers immediately and contact the company.
