1414 Degrees secures partner for up to 1 GW AI data centre at Aurora

The development is planned in three stages, 1414 said. A 17 MW starter campus will draw on a 33-kilovolt connection on the precinct's western boundary. The 200 MW anchor campus follows once a 275 kV link connects. Gigawatt-scale capacity hinges on the full buildout of the precinct's solar generation and battery storage.

The Aurora Energy Precinct covers about 16 sq km of Crown lease land, 1414 said. It includes up to 900 MW of solar generation potential and an approved 140 MW (280 MWh) battery energy storage system. The precinct has high-voltage connection infrastructure and water access.

1414 said it intends to negotiate definitive agreements covering land access and behind-the-meter renewable energy. It has committed to working with SA Power Networks and ElectraNet on connection and transmission arrangements.

No timeline has been given for the definitive agreements or the start of construction.
