Wipro Secures $1 Billion Olam Group Contract and $375 Million Mindsprint Acquisition
Wipro has finalized a $1 billion service contract with Olam Group and reached an agreement to acquire the firm's IT unit, Mindsprint, for $375 million.
Indian IT services firm Wipro has announced a major expansion of its business operations through a new partnership with Singapore-based Olam Group. The deal, valued at $1 billion, marks a significant multi-year engagement for the technology provider.
As part of this strategic arrangement, Wipro will assume responsibility for the digital transformation initiatives of the Olam Group. The contract is designed to leverage Wipro’s technological capabilities to streamline Olam’s operational infrastructure over the coming years.
In addition to the service contract, Wipro has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Mindsprint, the IT division of Olam. The transaction is valued at $375 million and will be executed as an all-cash deal. Wipro officially disclosed the terms of the acquisition and the broader partnership in a regulatory filing submitted to stock exchanges on Monday. The move is expected to bolster Wipro’s footprint in the region while integrating the specialized expertise of the Mindsprint team into its existing service portfolio.
