Whale, a Singapore-based enterprise AI company, has raised a $40 million Series C3 extension, pushing its total Series C to $100 million. The round was led by CMB International and SMBC Asia Rising Fund, with participation from Krungsri Finnovate, Singtel Innov8, Hyundai Motor Group, and Charisma Partners. Earlier Series C backers include Bosch Ventures, MTR Lab, MDI Ventures, Gentree Fund, and Linear Capital.
The company builds an AI Operating System, or AIOS, for enterprise operations. Its core is a proprietary Business World Model that interprets signals from cameras, sensors, and audio – similar to how large language models process text. Whale serves more than 1,600 enterprises across 45 countries, managing over 600,000 edge AI nodes. Its products cover physical space intelligence, voice analysis, content distribution, workflow automation, knowledge management, and AI governance.
Jerry Ye, Whale's founder and CEO, said the funding will go toward scaling teams globally, deepening enterprise partnerships, and expanding platform integrations with local infrastructure. "Enterprises across regions are grappling with rising operational costs, and the urgent need to turn unstructured operational data into decision-ready intelligence," he said.
Strategic investors cited Whale's seven-year track record with proprietary AI and its real-world deployments across Asia-Pacific. Dr. Zhang Guoyong of CMBI said the team has demonstrated "the ability to execute across complex, real-world deployments, which is rare at this scale." Krungsri Finnovate's Palida Artispong pointed to Whale's "native, enterprise-grade AI capable of powering a full-suite, omnichannel product across the entire customer journey."
Hyundai Motor Group's Keith Noh said the platform "goes beyond software enablement to address real-world business operations." Zheng Can of Linear Capital, an early backer, said Whale's "ability to evolve alongside AI has produced rapid growth in both product strength and global reach."
Whale is headquartered in Singapore with a growing North American base. The company plans to expand into MENA and Europe next.
