Upbit restricts LIT/KRW trades: sell orders capped if price dips >10% below reference, only limit orders for first 2 hours. Listing at 1pm KST Aug 24.
Upbit will list a Korean won market for the LIT token from the Lighter project at 1:00 p.m. KST on August 24. The token is already traded against Bitcoin, and that pair will set the reference price. The LIT/BTC closing price was 0.00004500 BTC, which equals about 4,803 Korean won. Upbit said that number is a trading guide only and has nothing to do with the initial LIT price.
Buy orders for LIT/KRW will be halted for five minutes. Sell orders are restricted if the price falls more than 10% below the reference price. Only limit orders are allowed during the first two hours after the listing. Market orders kick in after that. Upbit may delay trading if liquidity is thin and suggests checking prices on local and foreign exchanges.
Deposits and withdrawals run only on the Ethereum network. South Korea's Travel Rule applies, and private wallets must prove ownership. Upbit may request the source of funds for large deposits.
Lighter runs a decentralized perpetual futures exchange using an order-book system with cryptographic proofs. LIT is a utility token. Staking LIT grants access to the project's Liquidity Pool, with each staked token allowing up to 10 USDC in deposits and a three-day lock-up. Stakers get trading and funding benefits. Lighter allocated 25% of LIT to community airdrops and 50% to the ecosystem.
