The new Karad plant adds 50,000 sq ft of floor space, robotic welding, and backward integration. Chairman Shende says it will cut delivery times and support Make in India goals.
Shree Refrigerations opened a new manufacturing facility in Karad, Maharashtra, on Saturday. The six-acre plant brings advanced equipment including robotic welding and laser cutting, and backward integrates shot blasting and painting – processes the company previously outsourced.
Vice Admiral B Sivakumar, Chief of Materiel, Indian Navy, inaugurated the site. The facility adds 50,000 sq ft of manufacturing footprint, with room to double that to 100,000 sq ft. Shree Refrigerations declined to share the investment, citing competition.
Chairman and Managing Director R G Shende said the facility aligns with the government's 'Make in India' push.
