Revolut's crypto platform now works with Claude, Gemini, and other AI assistants for portfolio checks, price alerts, and trades via natural language. The company open-sourced the integration.
Revolut has connected its crypto trading platform to multiple AI assistants, letting users check portfolios, set price alerts, and place trades through conversational language. The system works with Anthropic's Claude, Google's Gemini, OpenClaw, and Cursor.
A user can ask for a Bitcoin grid trading strategy covering the past 90 days and get historical results, risk analytics, and parameter recommendations. Setting a Telegram alert for a specific price level on a token takes a dialogue instruction, not a manual setup.
The integration covers more than 300 tokens listed on Revolut X. Leonid Bashlykov, Revolut's crypto product director, said AI agents give the platform "much faster workflows, smarter execution, and tighter integration with the tools we use daily to trade."
Revolut's engineering team connected Claude to the Revolut X API in about half an hour, the company said. That rapid prototype produced a functional market-making system covering inventory oversight, price quotation, trade execution, performance tracking, and alert mechanisms. The underlying technology uses Anthropic's Model Context Protocol, launched in November 2024, which builds on Revolut X's existing trading API.
The company released an open-source GitHub repository that works with more than 50 AI applications. Users on other platforms can access the functionality through a command-line tool.
Every transaction requires user verification and authorization before execution, Revolut said. The company explicitly disclaims responsibility for financial losses or mistakes from AI tool use.
Revolut serves more than 75 million individual customers globally and counts over 16 million crypto users. Crypto services are delivered through Revolut Digital Assets Europe Ltd., which holds a Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission license under MiCA.
Revolut is not alone in this push. In April, Gemini launched agentic trading that lets users connect Claude and ChatGPT to portfolios through MCP, calling it the first such deployment on a regulated U.S. crypto platform. Liquid unveiled a real-time trading execution system driven by ChatGPT and Claude. Robinhood has indicated plans to introduce crypto-focused agentic trading features in the United States.
Revolut X launched in May 2024 as a desktop-only product for UK customers. It expanded to 30 European countries in November 2024 and added a mobile app for UK and EEA users in March 2025.
Separately, Revolut confirmed it will drop support for Tether's USDT by Aug. 31, 2026, citing compliance obligations under the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets framework.
