Pag-IBIG Fund Launches Special Relief Package for Returning OFWs

The Pag-IBIG Fund has introduced a new aid package allowing repatriated OFWs to access personal savings and defer housing loan payments.
The Home Development Mutual Fund, widely recognized as the Pag-IBIG Fund, has officially authorized a dedicated assistance program tailored for repatriated overseas Filipino workers (OFWs). This new initiative is designed to provide returning workers with immediate financial support during their transition back to the Philippines.
Under the approved benefits package, eligible repatriated OFWs gain streamlined access to their accumulated Pag-IBIG savings. Furthermore, the program offers temporary relief mechanisms for individuals currently managing housing loans with the agency. These measures are intended to mitigate the financial strain often associated with the abrupt loss of overseas employment.
The agency confirmed that this relief package aims to provide a safety net for its members as they navigate the challenges of reintegration. By allowing access to these funds and adjusting loan obligations, the Pag-IBIG Fund seeks to offer a more flexible path for returning workers to regain financial stability. Eligible OFWs are encouraged to coordinate with their local Pag-IBIG branch to verify requirements and begin the application process for these special benefits.
