Payward, Kraken’s parent, joins Anthropic’s Project Glasswing to deploy Claude Mythos 5 for code audits after U.S. regulatory clearance. The move follows a Q2 with $508M revenue.
Payward, the parent company of crypto exchange Kraken, confirmed Monday that it is joining Anthropic’s Project Glasswing program to deploy Claude Mythos 5 across its defensive cybersecurity operations.
The initiative gives the firm access to advanced AI tools to audit code and find critical vulnerabilities. The model will be rolled out across Payward’s platforms over the coming weeks to support its technical teams, the company said.
Access to the system follows a U.S. regulatory authorization that allows the model’s deployment in organizations managing critical infrastructure, according to Payward’s statement. The firm operates the technology behind Kraken, CF Benchmarks and NinjaTrader, handling shared settlement, risk and compliance systems.
Claude Mythos 5 will build on Payward’s existing security protocols, which hold SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certifications.
Data generated by the model will feed directly into the company’s internal red team and blue team divisions. Since Project Glasswing launched in April 2025, members have identified thousands of high- or critical-severity security flaws, according to Anthropic’s technical reports.
The model will evaluate third-party libraries and open-source repositories integrated into Payward’s architecture. Under the firm’s responsible disclosure policy, flaws found in open-source dependencies will be reported to each project’s maintainers for global patching.
Payward joins a select group of organizations chosen by Anthropic across technology and banking, including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft and JPMorganChase.
Model-assisted code reviews will begin immediately across the company’s production environments and transactional modules, the program guidelines state.
Payward reported adjusted revenue of $508 million in Q2 2026, up 17% year-over-year. Adjusted EBITDA was positive at $23 million.
The company also recently partnered with Broadridge Financial Solutions to extend corporate governance capabilities to holders of xStocks, Payward’s tokenized equity framework. It acquired Magic Labs’ embedded wallet business through an asset sale deal and is expanding xStocks into Hong Kong, the U.K. and South Korea.
