J.P. Morgan's tokenized U.S. Treasury products have swelled from $300 million to $884.6 million in market cap since late May. The two primary offerings, the JLTXX and MONY money market funds, now sit above $900 million in combined assets under management. The broader tokenized U.S. Treasury market has crossed $15 billion, according to Token Terminal data, giving the bank a distinctly large slice of the whole space.
JLTXX launched May 13, seeded with $100 million through J.P. Morgan's Kinexys Digital Assets platform. MONY arrived earlier, in December 2025, with a similar $100 million capital infusion. Both funds run on Ethereum, where token holders own shares represented by on-chain addresses.
Token Terminal data showed the products adding $100 million in market cap in a single month. One week in August alone saw a $17.2 million increase.
The funds let institutional investors – minimum subscription of $1 million – transact using cash or stablecoins like USDC. Settlement happens in real time on-chain, a departure from the multi-day clearing windows that define traditional finance plumbing.
The tokenized Treasury space has turned into one of the most competitive pockets of the digital asset market. BlackRock's BUIDL fund and Securitize are both chasing institutional dollars. The market crossing $15 billion by early August suggests this is past the experimental phase.
JLTXX was structured to comply with the reserve asset requirements in the GENIUS Act, the legislative framework governing stablecoin issuers. Instead of holding Treasuries through traditional custodians and dealing with settlement delays, stablecoin issuers can park reserves in a tokenized fund that offers the same underlying exposure with on-chain composability.
