
Etherscan now shows ENS names and Farcaster profiles on address pages, tying once-anonymous Ethereum wallets to a single identity card via Web3.bio.
Etherscan, the widely used block explorer on Ethereum (Ethereum (ETH) profile), now shows a consolidated identity card on wallet address pages. The integration runs through Web3.bio's API, which pulls publicly available onchain identities into one view. A user who opens any Ethereum address can see ENS names, avatars, Lens profiles, Farcaster accounts and related social links without leaving the explorer.
Before this, checking who stood behind an address meant running separate lookups. An ENS name lived on one page, a Farcaster profile on another. A Lens handle could sit somewhere else entirely. Etherscan's card collapses that work into a single block, and because the source data comes from Web3.bio's index, the card can also pick up records from Unstoppable Domains and SPACE ID.
The data was already available through Web3.bio's site and through the individual protocols. Etherscan's move puts it in front of an audience that checks transactions daily. The card is a rendering of that index, not a separate identity system.
Web3.bio was launched by Mask Network in August 2021. Mask Network is best known for browser extensions that overlay decentralized features on mainstream social platforms, and Web3.bio fits that pattern: it acts as an identity graph and link-in-bio service for the decentralized web. The platform indexes public records on Ethereum and Solana, then maps names and profile photos to addresses. Etherscan's integration stops at display. It does not create new identity claims or verify that a profile belongs to the person controlling the address. The card shows what the underlying protocols have recorded, and those records carry whatever trust the issuing service has built.
The protocols behind the card have scale. ENS has grown to millions of active names, and Lens and Farcaster process tens of millions of social interactions per month, according to available data. Those networks are no longer niche experiments. A block explorer can treat identity as a standard part of the interface. The card's data is only as complete as the protocols it indexes. A wallet that never set an ENS name or linked a Farcaster account will still show up as a bare address.
Privacy is the other side of the integration. Web3.bio only indexes data that users have already chosen to publish, so nothing new is being exposed. Aggregation is the change. A pseudonymous user might be comfortable attaching an ENS name to an address while keeping Lens or Farcaster activity separate. A single card that ties those identities together makes correlation far easier for anyone who looks the address up.
People who treat pseudonymity as a feature are the ones most affected. Onchain identity is opt-in. It is also increasingly visible. The correlation is not new; anyone with scripting skills could have assembled the same picture from public data. Etherscan's card makes it a one-click lookup.
Protocol teams and community figures often use ENS names and Farcaster accounts to mark official wallets. Having those identifiers on an Etherscan page makes it easier to spot a wallet impersonating a known address.
For most users the change is pure convenience. Etherscan remains the default place to check a transaction, and identity cards remove a step from routine due diligence. For the privacy-conscious, the message is simpler: whatever you connect to an address can end up displayed next to it.
