The Delhi government has officially banned the direct sale of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders from godowns across the city. Authorities have issued a stern warning that any individuals or agencies found violating this new directive will face strict legal action.
This measure is part of a broader government initiative to monitor the local supply chain and ensure that fuel remains available to the public without disruption. Officials have explicitly advised residents to refrain from visiting gas agencies or storage points to purchase cylinders directly. Instead, the government emphasizes that all LPG cylinders must be booked through official channels and delivered directly to the consumer's home.
In addition to these restrictions, the administration has expanded the availability of 5-kg LPG cylinders specifically to support migrant workers in the region. The government maintains that these steps are necessary to prevent potential shortages and maintain order within the fuel distribution network.
