CryptoQuant has overhauled its API offering, giving retail traders roughly 100 times more request headroom and access to minute-level market data. The on-chain analytics provider said the move targets users who previously couldn't justify the cost of enterprise-grade tools.
The Advanced plan now delivers hourly market data resolution for about $39 a month. The Pro plan, at roughly $109 a month, offers minute-level granularity. Annual discounts are available for both. Daily data requests can pull up to seven data points. Hourly requests stretch to 168 points. Minute-level queries reach 10,080 points in a single call.
CryptoQuant is also shifting to a prepaid credit system. Instead of paying for a fixed tier and either using the capacity or losing it, credits are drawn from a monthly allotment based on actual consumption. The company said this gives users more flexibility.
A new auto-discovery feature means that when a token gets listed on a supported exchange, the API begins serving data for it without manual configuration. That cuts friction for developers who track newly listed assets.
CryptoQuant competes with Glassnode, Nansen, Arkham Intelligence and Dune Analytics in the on-chain analytics market. Its reputation rests on Bitcoin exchange flows, miner behavior and derivatives metrics. The new pricing structure lowers the barrier to high-resolution data, potentially expanding the developer ecosystem tied to its endpoints.
The move looks like a long-term play to lock in developers before they build on a competitor's API. At $39 to $109 a month, the cost is low enough for individual traders and small shops to justify. If those developers later upgrade to institutional tiers, CryptoQuant's revenue grows with them.
Annual discounts and the credit-based model reduce the risk of users churning after a single month. The auto-discovery feature also removes a common pain point that pushes developers toward alternatives. CryptoQuant said the upgrades went live this week.
