Cosmos Health (NASDAQ:COSM) bought back another 250,000 shares in the open market at an average price of roughly $0.28 per share, the company said Thursday. The purchases bring the total to 4,838,000 shares for about $1.04 million under a previously announced $5 million repurchase plan.
Greg Siokas, Cosmos Health's CEO, said the $1 million milestone reflects the company's conviction that its shares trade well below the value of the business it is building. The company may buy back shares in the open market or through privately negotiated transactions, subject to SEC rules 10b5-1 and 10b-18.
Cosmos Health owns a portfolio of proprietary pharmaceutical and nutraceutical brands, including Sky Premium Life and Mediterranation, and manufactures products through its Cana Laboratories subsidiary in Greece. The repurchase program runs through Dec. 31, 2026, and may be renewed at the company's discretion.
