Canatu said Thursday it received a reactor order worth more than EUR 5 million from FST, a step toward commercial-scale production of carbon nanotube pellicles for the most advanced chipmaking. The order covers a CNT membrane reactor and follows a previous purchase for long-lead-time items. Delivery is scheduled for 2027.
"This reactor order demonstrates continued confidence in our unique CNT technology and reactor platform, while providing further validation of the growing market opportunity for CNT pellicles in advanced semiconductor manufacturing," Canatu CEO Dr. Maximilian Slawinski said.
The company expects to book part of the revenue from the order in the second half of 2026, but most will be recognized in 2027. Royalties and recurring consumables sales are not included in the EUR 5 million figure.
The order continues a string of milestones. Canatu shipped its first CNT100 SEMI reactor in September 2024. In July 2025, the reactor and post-processing equipment received customer approval, enabling commercial-scale production of EUV pellicles. In October, the company granted FST a commercial production license, setting up a royalty stream.
Once the new reactor starts commercial output, Canatu expects recurring revenue from royalties and proprietary consumables used in the CNT manufacturing process.
