New 'Send Money' feature bridges blockchain speed with fiat interfaces, enabling cross-border USD to ARS transfers to settle in as little as a few minutes.
Global cryptocurrency exchange Bybit has officially introduced 'Send Money,' a new payment solution designed to streamline cross-border transfers by utilizing blockchain infrastructure while maintaining a traditional fiat currency interface. The service aims to simplify the remittance process by removing the technical hurdles typically associated with digital asset transactions.
At launch, the platform supports transfers denominated in U.S. dollars (USD) and Argentine pesos (ARS). Bybit has structured the service to be highly competitive for users operating in Argentina, offering zero-fee transfers for recipients collecting in ARS. According to the company, the settlement time for these transactions is significantly faster than traditional banking methods, with transfers typically completing within a timeframe ranging from a few minutes to several hours.
By prioritizing a fiat-first user experience, Bybit intends to leverage the efficiency and speed of decentralized ledger technology to facilitate everyday financial activities. The integration reflects an ongoing industry trend toward making blockchain-based payment rails more accessible to mainstream users who prefer the stability and familiarity of local currencies.
