Bureau Veritas posted 5% organic growth in H1, with Q2 accelerating to 5.5%. The company took a EUR 32M provision for compliance issues. Management cited LEAP | 28 strategy execution.
Bureau Veritas SA reported 5% organic revenue growth in the first half of 2026, with the second quarter accelerating to 5.5%. The testing and certification company also recorded a EUR 32 million provision for compliance deviations disclosed in April, CEO Hinda Gharbi said Tuesday on the earnings call.
The results show disciplined execution of the company's LEAP | 28 strategy, Gharbi said. Adjusted earnings per share rose, and cash generation held steady. The company expanded margins despite what Gharbi called a complex geopolitical environment.
On the compliance issue, Bureau Veritas completed its internal review and informed the relevant authorities. The company stopped the contracting activity at the center of the deviations. The EUR 32 million provision represents management's best estimate of the total financial impact, Gharbi said.
Bureau Veritas continued reshaping its portfolio during the half. It announced the acquisition of LotusWorks, a specialist in mission-critical assets, and signed an agreement for another deal, Gharbi said without providing details.
The company did not update its full-year guidance. The half-year results came in a period of geopolitical uncertainty, Gharbi noted.
Analysts on the call included representatives from Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, ODDO BHF, BofA Securities, JPMorgan, Rothschild & Co Redburn, Jefferies, and UBS. No Q&A transcript was provided.
Bureau Veritas has informed authorities and set aside EUR 32 million. The final cost could shift as the compliance review progresses.
