New intercepts up to 5.0m at 0.20% eU3O8 extend Blackbush 600m south. Infill drilling at Plumbush targets resource upgrade for Samphire feasibility study. MRE due 1H2027.
Alpha Score of 42 reflects weak overall profile with weak momentum, poor value, weak quality, weak sentiment.
Alligator Energy has extended uranium mineralisation about 600 metres south of previous drilling at the Blackbush deposit, within its Samphire project in South Australia. The new intercepts – up to 5.0 metres at 0.20% equivalent uranium grade – came from the Mullaquana Crown Lease, a parcel of land the company only recently secured access to.
The results are part of roughly 300 holes targeting the Blackbush southern extension, the underexplored 5-kilometre corridor between Blackbush and Plumbush, and infill work at Plumbush itself. Alligator has also completed 108 delineation holes within the existing Blackbush mineral resource area to tighten confidence for mine-planning work under the Samphire feasibility study.
Four highlighted intersections ranged from 2.4 to 5.0 metres at grades of 0.11% to 0.20% eU3O8. The strongest grade came from 2.4 metres at 0.20% eU3O8 starting at 61.0 metres depth. Another interval returned 5.0 metres at 0.13% eU3O8 from 63.6 metres. The southernmost highlighted result delivered 4.3 metres at 0.11% eU3O8 from 56.0 metres.
“These early results are an encouraging start to our Samphire growth program and demonstrate the strategic importance of securing access to the Mullaquana Crown Lease,” chief executive officer Andrea Marsland-Smith said. “The team has moved quickly from securing access to having two rigs operating to advance this program at pace.”
Infill drilling at Plumbush has started for the first time since 2011. Alligator aims to cut existing drill spacing from 200-400 metres down to 25-50 metres, which could support conversion of Inferred resources to the Indicated category and allow Plumbush to be considered for inclusion in the Samphire feasibility study.
Testing will extend progressively into the corridor between Blackbush and Plumbush, linking resource conversion with a broader assessment of the paleochannel system. At Blackbush, the 108 completed delineation holes – drilled at spacing as close as 25 metres by 25 metres – produced results consistent with the current resource model.
That data will feed into a mineral resource estimate update due in the first or second quarter of 2027. The company expects the information to help evaluate well-field layouts across the mining areas considered in the feasibility study.
Two rigs are running continuous day shifts, with drilling planned through late in the fourth quarter of 2026. The broader program is scheduled for completion during that quarter.
