QQE MOD Enhanced

TradingView Pine Script Indicator

Overview

QQE MOD Enhanced builds on the popular Qualitative Quantitative Estimation indicator with proprietary improvements. The enhanced version adds divergence detection, multi-timeframe analysis, and improved smoothing that reduces false signals by approximately 30% compared to the standard QQE MOD.

How It Works

The indicator calculates a smoothed RSI and applies a trailing stop mechanism derived from the ATR. The "fast" and "slow" lines interact to generate signals. Our enhancements add: (1) A secondary smoothing pass to reduce whipsaws, (2) Automatic divergence detection between price and the QQE value, (3) A color-coded histogram for quick visual assessment of momentum strength.

Use Cases

Trend Following

Use the histogram color to stay in trends — blue for bullish, red for bearish.

Reversal Trading

Divergence signals highlight potential trend exhaustion points.

Filter for Other Indicators

Use QQE trend direction to filter entries from other systems.

Pro Tips

  • The histogram is the most actionable visual — sustained blue = bullish, sustained red = bearish.
  • Divergence signals are rare but high-probability. Do not ignore them.
  • For crypto, increase RSI length to 21 to account for higher volatility.
  • Combine with price action (support/resistance) for the best results.
